Stars, Actually mostly no stars.

Clouds moving in and out made gaps in the few visible star trails, also a plane flew through the corner of the shot (above).

Well, I haven't been out at night for a while, thought I might try to get a few star trails. It wasn't a good night for it, and I wasn't too sucesful. Too cloudy, and too light (the clouds over Bowling Green were lighting up the sky). Oh well, maybe next time. I took a lot of liberty during processing. The 15 and 10 minute exposures just came out a dull muddy brown (which is normal for long night exposures) - I made them look blue.

Finally, a little snow.

It's about damn time we got a little snow.

I know, I know. I keep posting the same old subjects. Then, I decided to throw in a truck.

The cows are white balanced a little more orange than they need to be, but it is my shot, my white balance.

You can't really tell it, but it was raining pretty hard here. It was a real pain to try to keep everything dry.
Between plastic garbage bags, an umbrella, and a backpack that did a pretty good job of keeping the water out - everything survived. I wouldn't have started that hike with so much gear if I had known what was coming.







There is water on the lens, particularly noticeable on the top limb. I did not try to fix in lightroom. Just part of the day.

This is an extreme, as I started at the bottom, and finished with the camera pointed straight up. Didn't know exactly how it would turn out.
