Went Saturday, didn't see a thing.
Going in Sunday, I could see both babies in the nest and got a few shots. Didn't see any adult eagles, so went on over to piney.
I was just getting into the cove and heard one of the eagles. He was sparing around with another bird, and landed in a tree. I had a good clear view and was getting nice shots of him on the limb. He then took back out for the bird, you can see him starting to get annoyed on the limb shots. They flew around a bit and I got a few more shots of him.
Then, all of the sudden, he went for a fish right in front of me.
Didn't really expect much as I had turned the ISO down for the limb shots. My shutter speeds were good for a still eagle on a limb but not so good for an eagle going after dinner.
Booked on back out and headed for home to see if any of them were sharp.
Out of 15 or so shots, three were not terrible. Higher shutter speed would have been nice, but I'll take them. I was really afraid none of them would be usable.
I always love to see what you put out there, but this one is just beyond fantastic.
