These are photos that I think are my better shots, are just interesting to me in some way, or help tell a story. Your mileage may vary.

Well, I saw one while setting up.
Went out a little early for the Persids (early date wise, and also early in the evening). My first location choice had a surprising (to me anyway) number of people, so I scoped out another location in the area. Saw one streak across the sky while I was setting up. None during capture though. I bumped my camera out of focus anyway, and I would have been disappointed if there had been a big display. So, here is one six second shot, a little out of focus, with a little help from tail lights. I've done worse.
Then, a stack of several six second shots. All still out of focus.

Neowise.
Well, not great, but there is a comet in there. My half-assed attempt at getting a shot of Neowise before it's gone. That is the visitor center at Mammoth Cave NP below. This is a 30 second shot, my shorter shots didn't make the cut. All stars are slight arcs if you look closely. Like I said, half-assed attempt. There are a few clouds here and there.
Also, due to my lack of planning, I was thinking the comet was going to be much further up closer to the second star in the big dipper handle. I never was able to see it that night. Just shooting blind with no real hopes of anything. It was just happenstance that the comet is fairly well centered in my shot. The first image is is not cropped, the comet was just pretty much right in the middle of my shot.
The second image is just a crop of the first image.
Better luck next time!
