A cute bullfrog. A not-so-cute snapping turtle. And some other stuff.
I have been hitting Sloan's Pond occasionally, looking for frogs and or other critters. I haven't been seeing many frogs though compared to pervious years.
While I was playing around with the big lens shooting the frog and snapping turtle, I did a time lapse video. First time I have tried that. The video turned out surprisingly well, I think, considering I had no idea what I was doing. I have embedded the youtube video but it is pretty small here. If you click the title on the video (Sloan's Pond 2018 06 09), you can see it with more detail directly on youtube. It is nothing fantastic, but was fun to do. It is only 13 seconds long, so it is not a big chore to watch.
Finally, there is a 10 minute long exposure. I walked around the pond during the exposure with my headlamp. Not sure that added anything, but I found it interesting.
